MediaLit Moments are classroom activities that create AHA moments by capturing at least one of the Key Questions for media literacy from the perspective of consumers or producers of media. MediaLit Moments activities are quick and accessible for teachers whenever the opportunity presents itself. Integrating media literacy with all subjects is the goal whether it’s English, History, Math, Science…We have compiled these particular activities because they offer a wide range of topics, require very little preparation for teachers, and can be accomplished in 15-20 minutes. MediaLit Moments are based on CML’s framework for Questions/Tips (QTIPS™) which provide opportunities for critical thinking from the aspect of consumers and producers of media. MediaLit Moments are published monthly and posted on the Consortium for Media Literacy web site.
